Welcome to the Family Justice Video Series. These videos are a joint project between the Nova Scotia Department of Justice (Court Services), and Nova Scotia Legal Aid, with funding for the project generously provided by Justice Canada.

Accessing the Videos

  • To view the videos in full screen mode, click the 4-arrows symbol in the bottom right corner of the video:

  • To exit out of full screen mode, click the 4-arrows symbol again, or hit the Escape button ('Esc'). You can find this button in the top left corner of your keyboard.

  • Each video is narrated. Make sure you have your speakers or headphones turned up to hear the video.

  • Throughout the videos, you will notice references to additional information and links. Please note that you can't click these links. Links that you can click are provided in a Word document. The link to the document is below each video.

Divorce

The divorce video is in 2 parts. Please watch both parts to make sure you get all of the information. Please also note that these videos have not been updated to reflect the changes to the Divorce Act which came into effect on March 1, 2021. While this work is underway, you can learn about what these changes may mean for you and your family by speaking with a court staff member or visiting this link: Information for families (justice.gc.ca)
